FOOD & DRINK

LLANGOLLEN
If you're in the Llangollen area of Denbighshire, North Wales and are looking for a decent coffee or a delicious meal, try Fouzi's Coffee Bar, on the right, next to the bridge over the river Dee, as you walk towards the steam railway and the canal. It's where we hold most of our meetings, so I can thoroughly recommend it!
RUTHIN
Now has a couple of new cafes, including Crown House Cafe, Well Street. They have Fair Trade products, hand made bread and cakes (with no preservatives) and some lovely coffee. Open Mon-Fri 8.45am-5pm and Saturday 9am-4pm.
WREXHAM
If, on the other hand, you happen to find yourself in Wrexham, make your way to the High Street, where you'll find 'Taste Buds', who offer similar refreshments - Cappuchino recommended!
BETWS-Y-COED
Unfortunately, the Active Cafe, which used to be situated on the first floor in Rock Bottom (the discount section of Cotswold Outdoor, which you find on the left just after the railway bridge when you enter the village from the east), is no longer with us, so I usually use the Alpine Cafe, which is part of the old railway station building complex and also has covered seating on the platform of this live station. Good food and coffee. Ther is also a railway restaurant car, which serves good food, as part of the Conwy Valley Railway Museum, in the former goods yard alonside the station.
OSWESTRY
Aroma is the name of the cafe on the right of the pedestrianised road up to the market hall. They supply a nice cappuchino, along with a range of light snacks. Usually jazz in the background. Nice atmosphere!
There's also Milanos, up an alleyway by the Art Shop (Paperway) past Smiths, off the main road. Again good coffee and food.
Also by the church is the Shropshire Poacher, which also houses the TIC. Good homemade food.
