Editorial: Last updated 13th October 2008  Romania 2009We're looking at undertaking another aid run to various charities (in conjunction with Aidventures (www.aidventures.co.uk)) in Romania again next year (around Easter(ish)), as my last operation will be (hopefully) on 3rd November. I should be fully recovered by then, although I did say the same this year! There's also a couple of caravans to be taken out there, so if anyone's interested, please email me at: tonyautonutz@aol.com or telephone me on 07855 462591. Now it's all EU, there's no great mounds of paperwork required and entry to Romania is measured in minutes as opposed to hours (or days!)... We intend to make the aid run a leisurely event with plenty of opportunities for sightseeing, etc... Some of the roads in Romania can be very poor, so the use of a 4x4 is recommended, especially if you are towing a donated caravan. I've worked out a pleasant route, so we can have an enjoyable journey with plenty of time for sightseeing on the return journey.... Dover, Calais, Bruges, Brussels, Riems, Nancy, Basel, Zurich, Innsbruck, Saltzberg, Vienna, Budapest, Oredea and Brasov.

It will be open to all cars and 4x4s and the entry fee will be kept low (to cover expenses), but you'll have to raise tons of cash for charity! Email me if you're interested... |
